Testing Boundaries (complete series).
Each box is about 8" X 10"
The figures, hand drawn and painted in watercolor and gouache on paper, are sandwiched between plexiglass surrounded by 3D printed augmented boxes.
They are wakening to the possibility that the boundaries of the box are movable and can be changed as they change. The changing relationship between the box and figure communicates how we discover who we are and what we need by testing the boundaries of externally or internally imposed definitions.
